Customer Feedback

We really appreciate the feedback from our customers. While we understand a lot of the core features we want to create in our app, we understand that all operations are different and ultimately our purpose is to design a system that meets the needs of your business.

Shipment Status Overhaul

After talking over with our customers about some of the drawbacks with our system, we quickly realized they were right about certain difficulties with status. We decided to make some rather large updates to the application, which did become a very large endeavor for us.

Dispatch Date Changes

We decided to move the dispatch dates from the order to individual parties. This helped us for many reasons. This had a big impact on our routing programs because we were now much more accurately able to apply the routing based on direct input from the system rather than essentially guessing which pickups and deliveries should be applied.

Apart from routing, the conversation gave us a clear understanding of the need to focus specifically on each leg of the shipment. In doing so, we can really narrow down on the arrival and departure for the shipper, the consignee, and if it's a multi-stop load, we can then keep tracking each location. While keeping track of these stop metrics individually, we update the shipment status as a whole.

Micro & Macro Status Updates

This idea of setting up micro & macro status updates really allowed us to move forward with a clear plan on how we plan to collect and push status updates, via EDI, email, push notifications, dispatcher alerts, etc.
